This should be our final mod preorder update. It's been a long road, and we appreciate all of you that have been enormously patient with us through the ups and downs. We're going to miss our "summer" window, but not by much.

Over the past few months, one of the hurdles we've faced and have mentioned repeatedly is the global chip shortage. We've had to wait for parts- not for them to arrive, but for them to become available to order at all. There's a lot of parts on the Control Tower PCB, so it's been a difficult road. As of right now, we're no longer waiting for any parts to be available. Over 90% of the components for the mod are in hand now, and we're only waiting for three components to arrive to us. These orders have been placed, and they're either preparing for shipment or actively in transit to us now. As soon as these arrive, it's off to the PCB manufacturer for final assembly. This assembly process we know will take about two weeks. Depending on the shipping speed on those components, it'll probably be about the same time frame for their transit as well. Within a week or two we will begin assembling some final version mods for testing.

All bubblers should be here about ten days before the mods start shipping. A final QC batch of about 20 bubblers will be here within a week, and some of those will go out to those at the front of the line for bubblers. We're also going to request the manufacturer ships these out in batches of a hundred rather than us waiting for all of them to be complete before shipping to us, so we can start getting them out the door.

Tons of parts!

Our last little bit of news concerns a new installation tool. One of our customers invented an exceptionally useful tool for installing spring clips and the escc itself. It's a significant improvement over our own design, so we're now having these mass produced to offer to our customers. Members of the community are probably already aware of these, but we're happy to be able to bring this to everyone. The creator of this tool was kind enough to allow us to use his design in exchange for one of our kits, and we're excited to begin offering these tools around the time that the mod is complete. We'll also have them available on the site for those looking to get the tool by itself. 

It's a huge relief to us to finally have everything either in hand or on the way, and we know it is for you all as well!

I will still post an update if there's any important news we need to pass on, otherwise there will be a post from us right before these start shipping, and we'll also probably make some posts about the new bubblers as they start coming in.
