We wanted to post an update, as we've just reached a major milestone in the development of the mod!

In our last update, we talked about the power circuit needing to be redone because it was not outputting the power we want. AVS and CEDP have been hard at work on this since that update, and we're happy to report we've produced a test rig capable of doing everything we need it to do and more. In testing the circuit has produced plenty of power for even the most demanding situations, such as very high ohm ESCCs, and we're now moving on from development of this. The next stage is PCB layout to integrate this new power control circuit design with the rest of the board, which is already working properly.

Estimated Mod Timeline: 

The following is just a rough timeline of the steps we have remaining until launch. Redoing the design layout and files with this new power circuit design, in preparation for manufacturing, will take 2-3 more weeks. Then we will have the alpha boards made, which is about another three weeks. Once we have the alpha boards, we will spend about a week fully testing them. Once this testing is complete and assuming no changes are needed, we will assemble the first group of final version mods. At this point we will fabricate the remainder of the boards, which will also take three weeks. While the rest of the boards are being made we will be working diligently to test and to make sure that there aren't any software issues or bugs and to generally refine the UI and features. Expect another update from us when the alpha boards have arrived and testing completed. Although it's possible tweaks on the layout will need to be done, we don't foresee any future significant delays or design work.
